Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and CodeMasters Agency Inc., Hamilton, Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"), the company behind AdhanSync. By using the AdhanSync app or website, you agree to them.

1. What AdhanSync does

AdhanSync works out prayer times for your home, and the app on your phone plays the adhan on the Google Nest and other Cast speakers you pick on your home Wi-Fi. It relies on your phone being at home, on Wi-Fi and charged, on your internet connection, and on your speakers.

2. Prayer times

We work hard to get times right. Times come from your masjid's published timetable, an official national timetable, or a standard calculation method, and the app shows which one it uses. Masjids are responsible for the timetables they publish. Calculated times can differ from your local masjid by a few minutes.

AdhanSync is a convenience, not a guarantee. An adhan can be missed because of an internet outage, a speaker or speaker-service problem, or a fault on our side. Please don't rely on AdhanSync as your only way of knowing prayer times.

3. Your account and settings

• You're responsible for the home location and settings you choose, and for the speakers you pick.
• Use AdhanSync only on speakers and accounts you're allowed to use.
• Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, reverse engineer or resell it.

4. Masjids

If you publish a timetable for a masjid, you confirm you're authorized to do so and that it's accurate to the best of your knowledge. You give us permission to show it to the people who follow your masjid and to use it to schedule their adhan.

5. Other services

Google Nest speakers and Android are run by Google under its own terms. We're not responsible for their availability or for changes Google makes that affect AdhanSync. AdhanSync is not affiliated with Google.

6. Price

AdhanSync is free while we test it. If we introduce paid plans, we'll show the price and what's included before you pay, and you can choose not to subscribe.

7. Ending use

You can stop using AdhanSync at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend access if these terms are broken, or stop the service with reasonable notice in the app.

8. No warranty

AdhanSync is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for a missed or mistimed adhan. If we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or CAD $50 if you haven't paid us anything. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app first. Using AdhanSync after a change means you accept it.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
